Business Development Manager – Exhibitions & Outreach

Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager, you will lead client acquisition, exhibitor and sponsor outreach, and long-term business partnerships for AB Consulting’s curated events and government-industry initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of B2B sales in the exhibitions or consulting domain, and a proven ability to build and manage relationships with decision-makers across industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the acquisition of exhibitors, sponsors, and strategic partners for large-scale industry exhibitions and conferences.
- Drive booth space and branding sales by pitching to government departments & institutes, corporates, startups, industry associations, and institutions.
- Develop and execute outreach strategies to generate qualified leads and maximize revenue potential.
- Build strong relationships with C-suite executives, decision-makers, and government-facing stakeholders to ensure recurring participation.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals aligned with client goals and event positioning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to finalise proposals, contracts, layouts, and custom exhibitor packages.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and sector movements to fine-tune sales strategies.
- Represent the company at exhibitions, external meetings, trade forums, and networking platforms to enhance visibility.
- Oversee CRM updates, sales reporting, and ensure timely client follow-ups and documentation.
- Ensure premium client servicing throughout the project lifecycle — from pre-sales to event delivery and post-event engagement.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in exhibitions, events, consulting, or a related domain.
- Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in handling CXOs, PSUs, and government or institutional clients preferred.
- Ability to work independently and deliver on revenue targets.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, Excel, and proposal writing.

Business Development Executive – Events & Outreach

Role Overview:
As a Business Development Executive, you will support the sales and outreach activities of AB Consulting focused on exhibitions, events, and consulting. You’ll help identify new leads, pitch services, manage sales pipelines, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless client servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify potential exhibitors, sponsors, and partners across target industries and geographies.
- Support booth space and branding sales through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and event promotion.
- Assist in preparing sales decks, proposals, follow-ups, and commercial documentation.
- Maintain and update lead trackers, CRM entries, and daily outreach reports with accuracy.
- Coordinate with senior team members to schedule meetings, demos, and site visits with prospects.
- Help with onboarding of confirmed clients by coordinating internal and external deliverables.
- Stay informed about relevant sectors, key companies, and upcoming industry developments.
- Attend internal review meetings and contribute to brainstorming on market approach and pitch angles.
- Support on-site client coordination and ensure exhibitor satisfaction during event execution.
- Provide regular reports on outreach performance, lead conversion status, and feedback collected from the field.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in B2B sales, event coordination, or client servicing.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, target-driven, and detail-oriented.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and CRM software.
- Interest in business events, consulting, and policy-driven sectors is an advantage.
